I just bought a capture card at a garage sale today, and it didn't come with the required installation disk (even if it did, though, I wouldn't have been able to install it because my CD-ROM drive just sucks in all possible ways). So, I went searching online for the software/driver for it and, so far, found nothing. Can anyone help me find the driver? Here is some additional information: EasyCap Video DVR USB 2.0 Video Adapter with Audio Model: DC60 I also went into Device Manager on my computer and found the Device Instance/ID: Video Capture Controller: USB VID05E1&PID0408&MI00 6&D8F291B&0&0000 Let me know if anyone needs any more information about this, because I really don't know what info I need. Click to expand.Yes, I looked at that site before. I could not find the download.
Anyway, I did some more searching, and finally got the driver. Now, I am searching for the software that goes with it, so I can record with it. The following is for people searching for this driver in the future: Here is the link to the driver I found: After you run this file, and run the Setup.exe that was extracted from it, you will need to plug the capture card in, and, if the Found New Hardware Wizard appears, just let the system find the driver automatically. Yes, I looked at that site before.

OK, I will try that. Anyway, I found that I could record with Windows Movie Maker.
My first test video with a PS2 game, however, came out with a very low framerate. (no surprise, since I have a single-core processor) I will tinker with the capture settings and see if I can raise the FPS to a viewable rate. If it comes down to it, I may have to use the family computer to record videos, which won't be much better because there is some significant latency between the actual video, and the computer screen (I prefer using a TV screen, but there isn't one close enough to the computer, and I cannot move the computer or the TV in the adjacent room). I had to go to Device Manager to install the stupid thing.
I just had to right-click on the unknown device, and click 'Update Driver Software', and I was able to manually browse for the driver. I had an idea, though. If I used that method of installation for the other version, wouldn't it be able to install the driver? So I tried it.and it didn't install it; didn't even find it as a Windows 7 compatible driver.

Let me start off with this list of pros and cons of the Easycap (EZcap) DC60. Pros.
The price; very cheap. Somewhat-solid build quality. Captures video better than was anticipated. Timely Arrival and shipping.
Captures a number of devices including Xbox 360 and PS3. Works well with OBS. Can be used to stream or record. Great for beginners. Good sound quality.
Cons. Somewhat-solid build Quality. Does not stream or record in HD quality.
Only utilizes four resolutions (at least from what I've seen). Only has inputs for VGA and S video.
Cannot stream or record devices which are at a resolution lower than 480p. If using windows 7 (and from what I've learned windows 8 as well) it will need manual driver installation and fixing staright out of the box. If you're looking for something high end, this leaves something to be desired. Lots of fakes floating around Now, When I made a post about purchasing one of these many of the people who responded recommended against it. Instead it was recommended that I drop $80+ on something like an Elgato.
Despite their skepticism I went ahead and purchased one from along with a pack of and a. Please feel free to downvote me and call me an idiot for voicing my opinion, however, I found this capture card to suit my needs perfectly. Still, I can see why so many people were skeptical about this and ill explain how both my opinion and theirs are both justified while also explaining how good the product is. Let me go over the pros and cons in a way that's better than just listing them. First off you cant beat the price. 6 bucks do capture video and stream it?
When you get splitters and the RCA cable it'll come up to about 15 bucks which still beats out the high end capture cards on price by a landslide. The build quality you may have noticed is both a pro and a con. I did this because the DC60 isn't just a tiny piece of plastic that will break in 5 seconds, but I also don't think it will last for years on end, especially with regular rigorous use (connecting, unconnecting, repeat, repeat, repeat). Everything has its time and the DC60 isn't meant to last forever but it will last.
The Device is cheap and you would think it doesn't perform well, but relative to its price, the DC60 is a monster, and I'm honestly surprised at how well the DC 60 does its job. The DC60 Will serve your needs as a streamer or what have you and even though it is cheap it can still stream games like Kingdom Hearts HD Remix for the and just about whatever else you can throw at it. The DC60 works. The DC60 works very well with OBS, they play nice together.
The most I had to do when I started using it was to resize the picture on the scene and adjust audio levels for the gameplay. Because the DC60 works well with OBS not only is this capture card great for beginners and people who just want to give streaming a try like i did, but it can out put mp4s with the same program it uses to stream. So this can be used for Youtubers as well. On top of all of this the package was delivered before the earliest estimated delivery date and it came in the mail unscathed, the usb extension cord was a little damaged, but i have 2 of those and the one i got can likely be fixed in about 20 seconds so there's that. Also the sound quality is very good. Sounded fine, no choppiness, clipping, or volumes issues. The biggest problems you'll have with the DC60 are quality based.
Like i said this is not an HD capture card. The video quality is like a CRT television or a really good VHS tape but again for the price this capture card can't be beat. Because the DC60 does not perform HD capture it only has inputs for RCA and S video not HDMI or RGB. In addition to this, it only has four resolution outputs and the largest (if memory serves) is 720x486. Even Still this can be a good thing because if you are streaming it will give you more room on your stream feed for more stuff, like a chat, or a stream ticker or whatever you want. Now for something that I thought was a bit strange.
The DC60 cant capture any console that outputs below 480p. This means that consoles like the N64, and the SNES cant be captured with the DC60. Just like the limited resolutions may not be the worst thing ever, this too can be bypassed. If you are someone who has a softmodded wii a ps2 or even an early ps3, you can play all the titles you wouldn't normally be able to play with the DC60. Say you have a softmodded wii and backups of your snes games, then you can totally stream or record snes games with the DC60. Luckily I have a softmodded wii as well as a softmodded ps2. And these both output to 480 so I'm good.
If you plan to use windows 7 or 8 you'll more than likely need to manually download and install some drivers like I did. This takes about 5 minutes for. Some of the DC60's have a driver fail notification and others have a sm-usb-007 unknown device issue. They're both essentially the same fix and it only took me a few minutes to learn how to fix the sm-usb-007 unknown device issue, so this isn't a huge hassle. Even someone who isn't tech savvy can look this up on youtube and do it themselves.
However, there are apparently lots of DC60 fakes floating around so i cant say for sure if anything will work if you end up with a fake. I forgot to mention that the bundled CD that comes with the DC60 is ultimately uneccessary. To show firsthand what the DC60 is capable of I quickly recorded some footage from MW3 and put it up on youtube, here's a link. For a product that i was strongly recommended against this works very well and the pros far outweigh the cons. The reviews on amazon said it was a piece of junk, but I feel that many of these reviews are based on people who gave up when it didn't work out of the box, or people who were expecting something that would give them HD quality. Again this is not an HD capture if you're looking for super sharp edges, and really high quality, find something else to suit your needs.
But i will say the DC60 is very good for what I needed. If you're looking for a backup capture card in case yours ever breaks, or you wanna give streaming a try, I would definitely recommend the Easycap DC60. This was my first review of anything ever, i feel like maybe i formatted this a little weird but hey, I tried. Thanks for reading and I hope this helped. Also I'm sorry for any spelling or grammar errors I've been at work all day and I'm exhausted.
Oh yeah it totally was you! Yeah, I think this is great for someone who is looking to save while still having something that's at least acceptable. If not I truly feel it could make for a good back up if someone needed to save up, say if their Elgato broke or something.
I love it, but maybe that's just because it does well beyond what I expected. But thanks for taking the time to check out my post! I'm thinking if I can get a decent amount of viewers then I'll save up for something better, maybe even hd!

Regards, Darshan J. Interesting, thank you. The product Ebay's agent sent me is not what I ordered.
They tried to tell me what they sent me was Win 10 compatible. I copied the instructions which clearly says Sys Req OS Windows 2000, xp/vista/Win 7 only, does not have Win 10 listed. Iomega discovery home tool software.
Easycap Capture Card Software
I can get a full refund including shipping charges from Ebay but I suspect the agent will just ship me a Win 10 complaint unit at his expense to avoid a negative rating from me. I have wasted a lot of time on this. Thanks for your assistance.
